چکیده

A Lagrange Sliding-Colliding Interface enables the free interaction of several meshes during the Lagrange Finite difference time step. It is based on dynamically identifying the boundary edges of the other meshes which may collide with a certain boundary vertex and identifying a "penetration point" for each such edge. From those non-additive possible collisions, the minimal sufficient set of interacting edges are chosen. The interaction corrects the vertices' velocities to satisfy relative velocity constraints in order to prevent interpenetration while preserving the momentum. Later on, after the coordinates have been advanced to the next time step, the coordinates positions may be corrected (if the need arises). The interface auto-detects the need for its existence the user does not have to define it in advance. Another usage of the interface is correcting small overlaps caused by independent re-mesh operations of several regions. Distributed Hypersphere Decomposition in Arbitrary Dimensions Aron J. Nonlinear Sliding Mode Control Design for Shunt Active Power Filter with the Minimization of Load Current

This paper proposes a new method of sliding mode base controller for shunt active power filter to compensate the harmonic currents of a load. In this controller there isn't any need to PI DC voltage controller to regulate the DC capacitor voltage of shunt active power filter. In this method, first the reference currents of shunt active power filter that should be tracked to reduce or eliminate ...

Simulation of colliding constrained rigid bodies

I describe the development of a program to simulate the dynamic behaviour of interacting rigid bodies. Such a simulation may be used to generate animations of articulated characters in 3D graphics applications. Bodies may have an arbitrary shape, defined by a triangle mesh, and may be connected with a variety of different joints. Joints are represented by constraint functions which are solved a...

Mortar finite elements for a heat transfer problem on sliding meshes

We consider a heat transfer problem with sliding bodies, where heat is generated on the interface due to friction. Neglecting the mechanical part, we assume that the pressure on the contact interface is a known function. Using mortar techniques with Lagrange multipliers, we show existence and uniqueness of the solution in the continuous setting. Moreover, two different mortar formulations are a...

Adaptive Formation Control using Artificial Potentials for Euler-Lagrange Agents ⋆

In this paper, we present a formation control strategy for a group of agents modeled as Euler-Lagrange systems. The formation is achieved by means of a desired kinematic model generated by artificial potentials. The system uncertainties are compensated by binary adaptive control which combines the good transient properties and robustness of Sliding Mode Control with the desirable steady-state p...

Comparison of Sliding Mode Control and Decoupled Sliding Mode Control of Robot Puma 560

Abstract. There is presented a comparison of sliding mode control and decoupled sliding mode control algorithms for the PUMA 560 robot position control. The Lagrange-Euler mathematical model of the robot is used for calculation the control laws. The algorithms show good robustness to model inaccuracies. The decoupled sliding mode control shows better performance in positioning than the standard...
